On behalf of our entire family, I want to express our deepest gratitude for the unforgettable experience you gave Chris and our family. As he faces the final chapter of his life, your charity gave him something truly meaningful – a beautiful evening filled with love, laughter and togetherness.
The dinner you organised, with the incredibly talented Chef Nacho, was nothing short of magical. The food was, without exaggeration, the best we’ve ever had and so thoughtfully catered to Chris and his favourite ingredients. Each dish was prepared with such care and passion – it elevated the night into something beyond a meal. It was a gift of comfort and joy that we will never forget.
The amazing volunteers, Dale and Francesca – thank you for your warmth, generosity and the time you so kindly gave to make this wish a reality. Your compassion made a lasting impression on all of us and your presence helped create an atmosphere of genuine care and peace (and so much laughter).
And to Ange – the photos you captured are simply beautiful. You didn’t just take pictures, you preserved memories that we will cherish forever. Thank you for giving us those precious moments to look back on.
We will forever be indebted to Ambulance Wish Queensland. In the future, I genuinely look forward to staying connected with AWQ and perhaps even volunteering myself one day. What you do is truly extraordinary. You gave our family a moment of light in a very difficult time, and for that there are no words strong enough to express our thanks.

Most of the nurses on the ward were in tears … of joy … when he returned to the ward with a beaming smile and telling his story
Your organisation very kindly leapt into action and provided my brother with an amazing experience as his life was very quickly coming to an end.
I’ve received the photos of the day your team took Scot from the hospital to his home and allowed him to be with his best mate, his dog Buddy, for one last time.
It was obvious that your volunteers had gone to considerable trouble to make the day very special for him – something that no one else could do – and I am very grateful his last wish was met with such a generous heart.
From what I hear, your team excelled in every possible way, and I would like my gratitude to be passed on to each of them. I understand that they do something like this because of the heart they have for others – but I know it takes a special sort of person to be able to genuinely give that energy, and comfort, with smile, to someone who knows they are at the end of their life.
The photos and message will be shared with my children & grandchildren who unfortunately had only met him once in their lives.
But the photos will re-establish memories – and that is what is important.

I can’t thank the team enough, mum had the most amazing time and is still talking about it to everyone that comes into her room.
Please share away and we will do the same on socials as I think the work that you are doing is invaluable and such a great gift. Mum’s whole world changed when she had something to look forward to again, so for that I will be forever grateful.
And what an amazing team, they are the most beautiful, caring, giving people. Really words cannot describe how life change these gifts are to my mother and others in her position.

“Robyn’s Ambulance Wish enabled extended family to attend, many of whom may not have been comfortable with visiting Robyn in the Palliative care environment. This is obviously of immeasurable value as it provided them with an opportunity to see Robyn for one last time. Richard, Sophie, Elizabeth and Amanda who were all representatives of the Ambulance Wish Qld team were kind, caring and absolutely wonderful with Robyn and the family”

My name is Donna and you supported my darling Mum on the 6th of Jan to attend my wedding. Justin, my entire family and I are profoundly grateful for making my mum’s final wish a reality. Your compassion and support on our special day brought immense comfort.
Your teams compassion care and genuine affection for my darling Mum was obvious and we will truly never be able to thank you enough. My Dad and I plan on donating and further I am excited now I have a charity that means so much to my family and has touched my life directly.
Your paramedics, photographer and the Ambulance Wish Queensland Team were truly amazing. Everyone, but especially Des had the best time ever. It was so beautiful to see Des so bright and happy with all his mates and family around him. He couldn’t stop talking about the whole day. He kept saying, “All this for me, ME!” He is so appreciative and thankful that it is heartbreaking knowing his time is so limited.
Please pass on our huge THANK YOU from Des and all our family, to those involved on the day.

Ambulance Wish Queensland now holds a special place in my heart and I will continue to give my support whenever I am able.
This was a wonderful experience. To be able to experience the shared humanity with Bev (more than her being my patient) was great.
There is no medication that would be able to produce the amount of joy that Bev experienced by doing this. It was a transcendent experience – not only for her, but for her family and the Wish team. This wish came about through reviewing Bev’s advance care planning documents.
When I have future advance care planning discussions with patients – I will have more of a focus on dreams and important goals. More people (patients and their carers) would benefit from an experience that connects us with joy and shared humanity. The ripple effects are quite profound.

“Our charity was approached to provide a therapy dog to spend time with a Wish recipient. The Wish recipient we assisted wanted to share his wish with others in the hospital beds around him as he was too ill to use the time fully himself, so even at this time he thought of others and impacted them too. We were happy to help with this request. We feel the Ambulance Wish Team do a fantastic service and can’t think of any way to improve their services.”
“I just wanted to say thank you so very much for yesterday, it meant so much to Jack and his family. For a guy of very few words these days, Jack said “I’ve loved all of today, dolphins were the best”. The whole process has been seamless and we are so fortunate that a service like yours exists.”

The generosity, kindness and support that all the staff offered on the day was so beautiful and truly appreciated. My Dad thoroughly enjoyed the day – as did we! Jenny, Mark, Sara and I and all of our family and close friends who attended will certainly treasure this incredible memory and experience. It brought some light and joy to our hearts that been heavy for some time now.

We can’t thank you and the Ambulance Wish team enough for making Mums wish come true. It was such a fabulous day & as you know the last time they will be able to be together. Emilia & Kristy were so caring and compassionate with us all especially Mum and Dad.
