Peter’s Wish was to spend time with family at Kangaroo Point Cliffs.

Places have special meaning for us all. We can all picture one special place that means so much to us; a place where we have lived life, created memories forever and enjoyed spending time with our loved ones. For Peter and his family that place is Kangaroo Point Cliffs in Brisbane, a series of stunning rock formations lining the city’s riverbank. As a family, Peter, his wife Karen, and their children would gather at the top of the cliffs to spend time together, people watch and check out the amazing view of Brisbane and the activities on the river.

Today, Ambulance Wish Queensland was delighted to fulfil Peter’s wish to head to the base of Kangaroo Cliffs and enjoy a day of quality family time. Peter, Karen, their children Lara, Sophie and Jacob, their partners Adam, Paul and Daniella as well as three grandchildren Ivory, Cairo and Julius gathered to forever enshrine Kangaroo Point Cliffs in the family’s forever memory bank.

For Peter, the highlight was revelling in the fun and enjoyment that his family shared. Resplendent in a Base Camp Cap, brought back from Mt Everest by son-in-law Paul, Peter couldn’t have looked happier as the family tackled their next shared adventure – a painting class. Armed with brushes, canvasses, and paints in every colour of the rainbow, the family took on recreating a painting of a bright red Vespa, the iconic Italian scooter, a version of which sits proudly in Peter’s garage. As the family made progress and their individual artworks came to life, it’s hard to imagine a more memorable way to capture memories forever than an artwork for each family member that will remind them of a wonderful day.
