Jean’s wish was to Visit Australia Zoo with her family

Jean has always loved animals, holding a special torch for the animals of the African Savanna, so it was no surprise to know Jean’s idea of a perfect wish was a trip to Australia Zoo. With the company of her Husband, Steve, daughter Belinda, son Ben and Ben’s partner Chona they embarked a day filled with unforgettable moments.

Jean’s eyes sparkled with wonder as they entered the Zoo. Witnessing the towering giraffes gracefully moving across their paddock and the rhinos, a sight Jean had never experienced, the sheer strength and beauty of them left her in awe.

Jean’s heart filled with joy as she observed the playful antics of the meerkats, the sleek and elegant movements of the cheetahs and the gentle giant elephants, all leaving the group in awe of nature’s magnificence. And what visit to Australia Zoo would be complete without the thrilling croc show? Jean’s heart raced as she witnessed the power and agility of these incredible reptiles.

But the clear highlight of Jean’s day was when she held a koala close to her chest. The soft fur, the gentle movements, and the connection felt with this adorable creature was a moment of pure bliss, and a memory that would forever be captured.

Thank you to our wonderful wish team Emilia, Chloe, Tim and Jess for fulfilling this wish and for creating memories forever for their loved ones.

Thank you to our service partner Metro North Hospital and Health Service, Redcliff Hospital Palliative Care Unit and a massive thank you for the support of Australia Zoo on this special occasion.
