Noah’s family wished to take their son to watch his first AFL match between the Brisbane Lions and Geelong Cats at the Gabba

Ambulance Wish Queensland fulfilled another wish last week in partnership with Queensland Children’s Hospital Specialist Palliative Care Service.

Noah’s father, Jadyn, is a passionate Brisbane Lions fan, while his mother, Tamara, barracks for the Geelong Cats, so it was together they decided their little boy Noah’s wish would be to watch his first AFL match between the Lions and the Cats at the Gabba Stadium.

Accompanied as well by Noah’s grandparents, Zoe, Jayne and Troy, the whole family was dressed in their respective team colours with Noah of course neutral wearing a little Lions onesie in support of his dad and Geelong socks over his little hands in support of his mums’ favourite team. The family were welcomed at the Gabba and escorted to a private suite to enjoy this precious time together while watching their favourite teams battling it out on the field.

Though the Brisbane Lions emerged victorious, securing an 11-point win over Geelong, the true essence of the day was about creating memories forever for the family.

Thank you to our wonderful wish team of Sophie and Peter for fulfilling this wish and Ange Costes Photography for creating memories forever for the family.

Thank you to our service partner Queensland Children’s Hospital and the support of Brisbane Lions on this very special occasion.

Ambulance Wish Queensland is proudly supported by the Queensland Government, and we thank the staff and volunteers at both Queensland Health and Queensland Ambulance Service who help our Palliative Care Queensland team to fulfil wishes and create memories.

We would also like to thank our SEQ Hub Local Supporting partners Mingary Care and GQS for their support of Ambulance Wish Queensland’s South-East Queensland Hub
