Philip’s Wish was to go home to his property to see his beloved three dogs and prized Jaguar

Philip has many loves. Family, home, gardening, dogs and cars and today it was Ambulance Wish Queensland’s pleasure to enable Philip to visit his home to spend time enjoying his passions.

Joined by son Craig, and daughter Renae with partner Leanne, Philip took advantage of the glorious Brisbane sunshine to do what many of us love to do which is spend time with those we love. With Smokey and poodles, Coco and Rolly never far from his side, it was a wonderful time for the family as they enjoyed good company and warm conversations, creating memories forever in surroundings that clearly meant a great deal to Philip.

And while home is where the heart is, for Philip, there is also petrol running through his veins, and a trip home wouldn’t have been complete without a few moments admiring the beauty of his beloved car; a silver aluminium Jaguar XK150. Bought two years ago, we are sure this stunning piece of automotive engineering would have a few tales to tell about the memories Philip created when taking it for a spin on the open road.

Thank you to Marie, Bethany, Tara, and Jane who delivered Philip’s Wish and St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane and Ange Costes Photography for their support.

Ambulance Wish Queensland is proudly supported by the Queensland Government, and we thank the staff and volunteers at both Queensland Health and Queensland Ambulance Service who help our Palliative Care Queensland team to fulfil wishes and create memories.

We would also like to thank our SEQ Hub Local Supporting partner GQS (https://gqs.com.au/) for their support of Ambulance Wish Queensland’s South-East Queensland hub.
