Gloria’s wish was to hear the sound of Bagpipes surrounded by her family

There are few sounds as rousing and emotionally moving as the those of Scottish Bagpipes. Melodies with the power to carry you to distant shores, imparting a feeling of weightlessness and freedom upon the listener. Gloria, despite not having Scottish roots, has always had an affinity for the sound of the pipes.

Surrounded by her 4 daughters Kristen, Debbie, Kristine and Kerry, husband Clyde and her sister Coral, Doctor William Nicol dressed in his Scottish Kilt and serenaded Gloria with a multitude of songs, including a moving rendition of “Flowers of the Forests”.

As the day drew to a close, Gloria whispered to her family “It could not have gone any better”.
