Jeffrey’s Wish was to go home and have lunch with his family

From festive feasts to a family BBQ, the gathering together of those we love over a shared meal is at the heart of many of our forever memories. With conversation and connection being special to Jeffrey, for his Ambulance Wish, he wanted to break bread with his family at home.

Along with partner Justine, three generations of the family joined Jeffrey for his wish as parents Elaine and David, daughters Tamara and Ashleigh, brothers Stephen and Rodney and sisters-in-law Tina and Salli, came together for a seafood lunch in the family’s beautiful courtyard.

Surrounded by trees, flourishing plants and flowers, and spectacular greenery, the family connected over moments of memory and reflection, warm conversation, and shared love, with Jefferey clearly content to be spending time and sharing the food he loves with those who mean the world to him in a special place.

And our team was thrilled to receive a lovely email from Jeffrey, thanking Ambulance Wish for making his wish come true and for his Kees bear and wish blanket, which he received on the day. It was a privilege to have been part of Jefferey’s wish, and we are thrilled that it meant so much to Jeffery and the people he loves.

Thank you to our wonderful wish team Mark, Adrian and Amanda for fulling this last wish and creating memories forever.

Thank you to St Vincent’s Private Hospital Palliative Care Unit for partnering with us on this special occasion.

Ambulance Wish Queensland is proudly supported by the Queensland Government, and we thank the staff and volunteers at both Queensland Health and Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) who help our Palliative Care Queensland team to fulfil wishes and create memories forever.
