Ambulance Wish Provides Recipe for Forever Memories for Retired Baker

For retired baker Pascal, the key ingredients for his Ambulance Wish were  a trip to the beautiful Manly foreshore with his beloved wife Karen, brother Michel, friends and family. And on Friday, the Ambulance Wish Team were delighted to take these ingredients, mix them with a little bit of love and watch as forever memories were created for everyone involved.

As you would expect from Pascal’s French heritage, a love of food is close to his heart. Having worked as a baker for many years, Pascal’s passion for pastries, breads and cakes knows no bounds, and throughout his working life, he enjoyed the joy that his creations brought to others. Therefore, Pascal deeply appreciates the powerful combination of food and location. So on a beautiful Queensland winter day, Pascal was able to spend time with his loved ones enjoying delicious pastries created by his close friend Patrick of Le Cake.

As everyone enjoyed their lunch, the conversation, stories, laughter, and joy were apparent for all to see, creating a moment in time that will last forever in the hearts of everyone involved.

Pascal’s Wish also combined his long-held passion for the beauty, power, noise, and thrill of hitting the open road on a motorcycle, a love that has seen Pascal and Karen travel the winding roads of the world. Riding their bike and sidecar, Pascal and Karen have crisscrossed continents, from Australia’s diverse regions to 6 months  navigating Europe’s highways and byways. On Friday, it was a high point for Pascal to hear the roar of engines as his fellow motorcycle enthusiasts arrived to share Pascal’s Wish in a spectacular procession of classic machines.

Ambulance Wish Queensland would like to thank our amazing volunteers who help us to deliver each Ambulance Wish, granting wishes and creating forever memories. Thank you to Dale, Kristy, Paul and Lauren, who delivered Pascal’s Wish and Mater Private Hospital Brisbane, Queensland Ambulance Service and Queensland Health for their ongoing support.
