Peter’s Wish was to spend time with his cousin
For Peter, there is something special about catching up with friends and family, enjoying a yarn, putting the world to rights and enjoying each other’s company.
A highlight of every Easter was taking an annual outing to stunning Lake Moogerah, to enjoy the reservoir, wildlife and surrounds of Mt Edward and the Moogerah Peaks National park. A highlight of each visit was catching up with cousin Graham, a connection that has not been possible in recent years.
But, thanks to Ambulance Wish Queensland, Peter was able to reconnect with Graham on a beautiful spring afternoon in Ipswich. The cousins spent time together reminiscing about their shared life, the family trips and enjoying lunch in the company of their wives Nina and Marie, as well his daughters Diana, Janet, Margaret and son Greg along with family friend Betty, who welcomed them to her home for the afternoon.
Ambulance Wish Queensland would like to thank our amazing volunteers who help us to deliver each Ambulance Wish, fulfilling wishes and creating memories forever. Thank you to Jessica, Mark, Matt and Ange for fulfilling today’s Wish and to our friends at St Vincent’s Private Hospital Brisbane for their support.
Ambulance Wish Queensland is proudly supported by the Queensland Government and we thank the staff and volunteers at both Queensland Health and Queensland Ambulance Service who help our Palliative Care Queensland team to fulfil wishes and create memories forever.
