Annette’s wish was to feed the birds at Bunya Mountains

A day trip to remember.

Annette’s wish was to feed the birds at Bunya Mountains.

Whilst Annette was feeding the cockatoos and crimson rosellas, she couldn’t help but reminisce on all the happy moments she had when visiting Bunya Mountains years ago. They were memories of joy and excitement.

After the bird feeding, she received a handcrafted bird from Poppies on the Hill cafe. A small but treasured memento serving as a reminder of a wonderful day.

Thank you to our wonderful wish team Brit, Leeanne and Mitch for fulfilling this last wish and creating memories forever for their loved ones.

Thank you to our service partner Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service – Oakey Hospital  and the support of Poppies on the Hill Cafe on this special occasion. Annette’s wish marked our first wish with Oakey Hospital, and we thank the larger Darling Downs Hospital and Health Service Team for making this possible.

Ambulance Wish Queensland is the signature program of Palliative Care Queensland and is proudly supported by the Queensland Government, and we thank the staff and volunteers at both Queensland Health and Queensland Ambulance Service who help our team to fulfil wishes and create memories.

We would also like to thank our Foundation Sponsors GQS and Mingary Care for their sponsorship of Ambulance Wish Queensland
