Tania’s wish was to spend time with a horse
Some passions stay with you for a lifetime.
For Tania, horses have always been that passion. It is a love woven through every chapter of her life.
So, when it came to her wish, there was never any doubt.
Into the hospital courtyard walked Halo, the miniature therapy horse whose extraordinary cuteness stopped everyone in their tracks.
In that moment, nothing else mattered. It was just Tania and Halo – helping her to relive her past and simplify the present: a lifetime of memories in one gentle encounter.
Thank you to our wonderful wish team, Bern and Carlie, for fulfilling this last wish for creating memories forever for their loved ones.
Thank you to our service partner, Metro South Hospital and Health Service- The Princess Alexandra Hospital, and the support of Cath and Halo from Whinnies Wellness on this special occasion.
Ambulance Wish Queensland is the signature program of Palliative Care Queensland and is proudly supported by the Queensland Government, and we thank the staff and volunteers at both Queensland Health and Queensland Ambulance Service who help our team to fulfil wishes and create memories.
We would also like to thank our Foundation Sponsors GQS and Mingary Care for their sponsorship of Ambulance Wish Queensland
