Zdenka’s wish is to go to Mooloolaba Beach and feel the sand with her family and friends

For many of our Wish Recipients, people and places are at the heart of their wish as they connect with the things that mean the most to them. Things that create memories forever and bring joy and long-term support to everyone involved. For Zdenka, that was true as she gathered her loved ones for a trip to see the sparkling waters and golden sands of Mooloolaba Beach.

Joined by daughter Janette and son-in-law Damien, son Paul, and grandchildren Maxwell, Stanley and Zoe, Mooloolaba Beach is a place that has been at the heart of family holidays and day trips; a place that is truly special to her and her family and one of shared love, laughter and joy. Arriving at the beach from her home as a Metro North Community Palliative Care patient in Wish Ambulance ‘Ross’, the day couldn’t have been more beautiful, and we could all see just how much her Wish was going to mean to Zdenka. As she took in the beautiful view of the open ocean, Zdenka was also able to dip her toes in its cooling waters and feel the sand between her toes with the assistance from a beach wheelchair pushed by our Ambulance Wish Qld volunteers.
