What does Palliative Care mean to you?

Providing care and support to the patient and their family, whether it be via Western Medicine, a smile, a conversation or just listening ears.

Why did you choose to volunteer with AWQ?

I had an experience with one of the Wish Recipients on one of my university placements. To see his beaming smile in the photos uploaded, it made me want to give that same opportunity to future recipients and see them smile and laugh once more.

How do you see Ambulance Wish Queensland in the community?

A positive impact and an increased awareness of end of life care to a lot of my peers, and community members.

How do you see AWQ impacting Wish Recipient’s and their friends and family?

To give an everlasting experience to the recipients’ loved ones, and have a positive memory for all to share.
