Rick’s wish was to go fishing off the Redcliffe Jetty
For Rick, fishing has always been a source of solace and serenity and the prospect of casting his line off the Redcliffe Jetty filled him with anticipation and joy. Surrounded by his loved ones, son Aaron, daughter Kaitlin, his beloved granddaughter and his dog Tarni, it was a peaceful day spent by the water with his fishing rod in hand and his granddaughter and Tarni nestled on his lap.
The first tug on the line brought a burst of excitement, with Rick reeling in the line only to find the bait still clinging to the hook. His daughter Kaitlin couldn’t help but laugh and exclaim “Oh look, you’ve caught a prawn!’’ The unexpected catch brought a wave of amusement as laughter filled the air.
