Ray wish was to go fishing with his family off the Redcliffe jetty

Back at his local secret spot in Redcliffe, Ray’s Wish was to go fishing with his family.

A keen fisherman since childhood, Ray remembers Redcliffe as being one of his favourite places to fish for flatties, whiting and bream – often spinning yarns of the giant flatheads that he would conveniently throw back.

This changed on his Wish however, with his daughter reeling in a monster flathead! Ray’s eyes lit up as he exclaimed “Let’s keep it!”

His son-in-law, however, must’ve missed the memo. Unaware of Ray’s plan to keep it, he unhooked the flatty and chucked it back – much to Ray’s bewilderment. This led everyone to burst out in a howl of laughter.

After an incredible afternoon of love and laughter, the day just had to finish at the Fish and Chip shop – and this time the flathead wasn’t going back.
