Philip’s Wish was to take the ferry up and down the Brisbane River
Phil’s Wish is a great reminder of how the simple things often bring us the most joy. His Wish? To travel up and down the Brisbane River on the CityCat.
Phil was incredibly excited about the trip, ready to take in the scenic views in the company of his sister and son. The day was perfect, and the water was calm, as the CityCat glided up and down Brisbane’s famous river. Phil and his family were taken past iconic sights such as the Story Bridge, South Bank Parklands, the historic Howard Smith Wharves and the lush greenery of New Farm Park.
These moments will remain as special memories forever.
As the day came to an end, AWQ gifted Phil cuddly plush QAS bear called Kees to commemorate such a perfect day. Phil was incredibly grateful – keeping the bear close to him on the drive home.
Thank you to our wonderful wish team Kristy, Pierce and Nicola for fulfilling this last wish and for creating memories forever for Phil and his loved ones.
Thank you to our service partner Metro South Hospital and Health Service Community Palliative Care Team– and the support of RiverCity Ferries on this special occasion.
