Michael’s Wish was to attend the QLD Cross country Relay Championships at Nudgee College

A Kedron local, Michael’s love for long distance running goes beyond a mere hobby, it’s a way of life that has taken him to places far and wide, both physically and spiritually.

Having conquered the Boston marathon and participated in over 500 Parkruns, it was easy to see that Michael’s commitment to the sport was unwavering. His wish? To attend the QLD Cross Country Relay Championships at the prestigious Nudgee College. For Michael, this event wasn’t just another race, it was the culmination of the years of participation and passion for the sport and the opportunity to reunite with friends who share in his energy for running.

Affectionally known as ‘Schultzy,’ Michael arrived with enthusiasm and anticipation.  As he talked with acquaintances, both old and new, it was noticeable how deeply rooted Michael is within the running community.

Michael’s presence at the championships wasn’t just about attending another race, it was a celebration of a life enriched by running and a show of passion that was inspiring to others.
