Larry’s wish was to visit his home in Coomera
For many, home is where the heart is and often this extends far beyond four walls and out into the garden or patio of their home. It was here that Larry’s heart found its anchor, relaxing on the patio in the company of those he loves. The warmth of his wife’s embrace, the hearty laughter of his Navy buddies, and the presence of his beautiful granddaughter and other family paints a vivid picture of what truly matters most.
Among his old Navy friends, Larry was renowned for his story telling prowess and admired for his ability to talk underwater with a mouth full of marbles. Their gathering was, a testament to the enduring bonds formed from youthful escapades and shared hardships. Larry’s tales, whether accurate or exaggerated, held the power to captivate his audience. His friends chuckled as they recalled his attempt to communicate in foreign languages, often leading to bouts of infectious laughter. But it was Larry’s unique ability to forge connections that stood out the most, evident as he shared a cold beer with friends and hold his 12-week-old granddaughter for the first time.
