Kenneth’s wish was to visit Mt Coo-tha with his family
Reminiscing childhood memories of bush hikes and track riding. Ken’s wish was to visit Mount Coot-tha with his family.
The foothills of Mount Coot-tha are where Ken called home as a boy. He spent countless hours exploring its secrets, riding his bike through the bush and hiking its tracks with his brother, sister and neighbourhood kids.
Returning to the peak, Ken soaked in the familiar views of Brisbane City, surrounded by his family, some that had travelled from as far away as Canada, as they shared lunch at the Summit Restaurant.
Always smiling, Ken reflected that nothing about the mountain had changed, it was still the same, “just like when we were kids.”
The rain even stayed away to brighten a beautiful day of reminiscing, reliving the fun and freedom of childhood – cherishing the time they had together as a family.
Thank you to our wonderful wish team Vicky, Angela and Kristy for fulfilling this last wish and Ange Costes Photography for creating memories forever for his loved ones.
Thank you to our service partner Metro South Hospital and Health Service – Queen Elizabeth II Jubilee Hospital and the support of the Summit Restaurant on this special occasion.
