Katrina’s Wish was to visit the recently completed Women’s Cancer Support Haven in Nerang
A legacy that will inspire others in her community.
Katrina’s Wish was to visit the recently completed Women’s Cancer Support Haven in Nerang – a centre of compassion and care that Katrina helped make a reality.
A large milestone for Katrina, and for the greater community in Nerang, the centre was a large focus for Katrina in her work as a Lifestyle and Leisure Therapist. The space will act as a central location for Gold Coast women living with Cancer to meet, chat, relax and laugh with other women in similar circumstances.
Katrina’s large network of close friends met her at the Haven for morning tea, where they showcased the facility and what it can offer the community.
Katrina’s story is one of enduring impact of a compassionate community. Her story can show us what it means to leave an impact that echos support, empathy and care.
Thank you to our wonderful wish team Sue, Kristy and Salome for fulfilling this last wish and for creating memories forever for Katrina’s loved ones.
Thank you to our service partner Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service- Robina Hospital Palliative Care Unit and the support of Women’s Cancer Support Haven on this special occasion.
