Kathy’s wish was to visit Broadbeach waterfront with her family
A love of sand, surf and sun. Kathy’s wish was to visit Broadbeach waterfront with her family.
Kathy revered Broadbeach, it was her sanctuary, a spot she would visit monthly on her rostered day off to soak up the sunshine and everything the beach had to offer. Her wish was no different, it was filled with the same joy and serenity she had always found here.
Surrounded by her family and friends, including several of her former colleagues from her days as a disability support worker, this was a day that would be remembered forever. After an enjoyable lunch, one filled with extra gravy on the chips, our wish team helped Kathy to the water’s edge so that she could once again feel the cool ocean lap at her feet.
One friend collected some sand and shells, planning to make a keepsake to remember the day. A memento moulded by Kathy’s lifelong love of sand, surf and sun.
Thank you to our wonderful wish team Georgia, Frankie and Rachel for fulfilling this last wish and Perfection Photography for creating memories forever for Kathy and her loved ones.
Thank you to our service partner Ipswich Hospice and the support of the Kurrawa Surf Club on this special occasion.
