Kai’s Wish was to meet the Brisbane Bullets

A dream come true for Kai.

For many children, their dreams revolve around adventures to new places, comic book heroes or playing their favourite sport in front of a big crowd. For Kai, his dream to meet the Brisbane Bullets became a reality.

Kai and his family were driven from Toowoomba to the Nissan Arena by Ambulance Wish Queensland to meet and greet with the Brisbane Bullets before their game with the Shanghai Sharks. Not only did he get to spend time with the Bullets before the game, but he was also treated to VIP courtside seats! Seeing the action up close and getting to experience the thrill of the game kept Kai smiling all day!

An experience they will never forget and memories that will always remain.

Thank you to our wonderful wish team Patrick, Brit and Karen for fulfilling this last wish and a very special thanks to the Brisbane Bullets for going above and beyond and Juiced TV for making beautiful memories for Kai and his family.

Thank you to our service partner Queensland Children’s Hospital.

Ambulance Wish Queensland is the signature program of Palliative Care Queensland and is proudly supported by the Queensland Government, and we thank the staff and volunteers at both Queensland Health and Queensland Ambulance Service who help our team to fulfil wishes and create memories.

We would also like to thank our SEQ Hub Local Supporting sponsor GQS and Mingary Care for their sponsorship of Ambulance Wish Queensland’s South-East Queensland hub.
