Joan’s Wish was to visit Moffat Beach with her family and friends

Friends, family and neighbours turned out to Jo’s Wish at Moffat Beach. A simple Wish, Jo wanted to put her toes in the sand and feel the kiss of the soft, salty air.

Alongside her friends and neighbours, Jo has made Moffat Beach her local swimming spot – lovingly dubbed the ‘Moffat Mermaids’ by those around – she knew these waters like the back of her hand.

As the wish unfolded, Jo’s friends, as well as her son and grandson, ventured out for a swim in the chilly waters. They returned to Joan with big smiles as they embraced her with cold wet hugs, a favour Jo had asked for. A bucket of Moffat Beach’s water was also brought back to her and, without a moment’s hesitation of the water temperature, Joan playfully splashed the water over her face and arms, savouring the familiar touch of the salt.

Amidst the sharing of hilarious stories of them swimming and beautiful encounters of dolphins, Jo described the day as nothing short of magical.  A day more than just the fulfilment of a wish, but a celebration that will be forever etched into the memories of Jo and her loved ones.
