About the Logo
The Ambulance Wish Queensland branding is inspired by the internationally recognised branding with the emergency medical services (EMS) images (star of life, six-pointed star. In the center), is a widely used symbol of medical care. A snake entwined staff, known as the Rod of Asclepius. This is named for a figure from Greek mythology, Asclepius, the god of medicine and healing*. The butterfly is known as a symbol of transformation, hope, life and spirit, this symbol is commonly used to
represent palliative care.**
Ambulance Wish Queensland has kept the teal colour from the international branding and added blue to represent the beaches and vast blue skies of Australia.
