Harry’s Wish Was To See The Planes at Archerfield Airport

A former pilot wanting to relive his flying days. Harry’s wish was to watch the planes fly in and out of Archerfield Airport.

With a smile on his face, Harry was overjoyed as he was escorted through to the airfield.

A very generous offer from the Archerfield BASAIR Aviation College saw Harry, his family and the AWQ Ambulance given clearance to sit in the hangar and get an up-close experience of the planes taking off and landing.  An experience that took Harry back to his days on the tarmac.

The cherry on top? Harry was unable to find his original pilot wings from when he retired, a memento for his service. To his delight, he was gifted a new set of BASAIR wings at the airport, a small gesture that made the wish even sweeter.

From the time he arrived until the time he left, Harry’s smile was always seen. His family sharing that they will never forget how happy the wish made him feel.
