Diane’s Wish was to watch Top Gun: Maverick at the cinema with her family and friends.
For movie buff Diane, immersing herself in the thrills, spills, action, or romance of a good movie is something close to her heart and has always been a central part of her self-care regime. And like many of us, she had been eagerly awaiting the chance to see Tom Cruise reprise his role as Captain Pete ‘Maverick’ Mitchell in Top Gun: Maverick. Having seen the 1986 original in the cinema, Ambulance Wish Queensland was delighted to be able to fulfil Diane’s wish and create memories forever with a special VIP screening of the movie at Ipswich’s Limelight Cinema.
Alongside her family and friends, Diane settled in with a glass of champagne, chicken wings and tasty treats, thoroughly delighting in the high-octane antics of everyone’s favourite pilot as she enjoyed a couple of hours of care-free entertainment immersed in the magic of the movies.
Thank you to Kristy, Jess and Brittany, who delivered Diane’s Wish in partnership with West Moreton Health. Thank you to Lime Light Cinema’s Ipswich and Ange Costes Photography for their support.
AmbulanceWish Queensland is proudly supported by the Queensland Government, and we thank the staff and volunteers at both Queensland Health and Queensland Ambulance Service who help our Palliative Care Queensland team to fulfil wishes and create memories forever.
