Chris’s wish was to visit Mooloolaba Beach with his wife
Back to an old training ground. Chris’s wish was to visit Mooloolaba Beach with his wife.
A very fit and active man, Chris spent years training and working out along the Mooloolaba coastline. It’s a part of who he is, it fills him with strength, clears his mind and has provided numerous treasured memories
Back to where it all began.
On his wish, Chris was able to stand in the water, feeling the soft sand beneath his feet as the waves lapped at his knees. It was a moment of clarity once again, and a sense of freedom that he had longed for.
The wish then took him up to Alexandra Headland, where Chris and his wife paused for a moment, gazing across the water and watching the ships pass by – just like they used to do together.
It was a moment together that can be often taken for granted. Silently watching, their smiles told the story.
Thank you to our wonderful wish team Jak, Mick and Nat for fulfilling this last wish for creating memories forever for Chris’s loved ones.
Thank you to our service partner Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service- Dove Specialist Palliative Care Service and the support of Mooloolaba Surf Life Saving Club on this special occasion.
