Cheryl’s wish was to see her beloved North Queensland Cowboys play at Queensland Country Bank Stadium
While Cheryl has been a North Queensland Cowboys member since 2016, she has not yet had the opportunity to watch her beloved team play at the new Queensland Country Bank Stadium that was officially opened in February 2020. Passion and support for the North Queensland Cowboys runs deep in her family with her children and grandchildren all holding their own membership, so it was no surprise that Cheryl’s wish was to take her family to see her team play at Queensland Country Bank Stadium. Thanks to the North Queensland Cowboys and Country Bank Stadium, Cheryl and her family were treated to a very special private suite enabling Cheryl and her family to be together to cheer on her boys.
Surrounded by her children Trudie, Tammi, Jamie, Kellie and Jason, grandchildren Corin, Kirara and Eva as well as her extended family of Ang and Kayla, Cheryl cheered on the Cowboys as they delivered the largest win in the club’s history over the West Tigers. If that wasn’t enough, former Cowboy’s greats Ray Thompson, Glenn Hall and Matt Scott paid Cheryl a visit topping off an already perfect wish.
Thank you to our wonderful wish team Zoe, Emma, Debbie and Hayden for fulfilling this last wish and Flicka Photography Townsville for creating memories forever for Cheryl and her loved ones.
Thank you to our service partner Townsville University Hospital Palliative Care Unit for their partnership.
A special thank you to The North Queensland Cowboys, Queensland Country Bank Stadium and the GEMA Group for making Cheryl’s wish come true and going above and beyond in supporting Ambulance Wish Queensland. on this special occasion.
