Bruce’s wish was to visit Noosa Heads Main Beach
Bruce’s wish took him back to the place that sowed the seeds for a lifetime of surfing and travel. Accompanied by his wife, Angie, their three children, Rachelle, Sophia and Max, and a circle of cherished family and friends, Bruce revelled in the beauty of a Sunshine Coast morning, basking in the warmth of the sun and the thrill of the surf.
Growing up, Bruce’s parents were the proprietors of the Noosa Wave kiosk, and their residence bordered on what is now Noosa Heads National Park. Bruce left an indelible mark on the area as an original member of the Noosa Boardriders Club and later the Tugan Boardriders. Over the span of 50 years, Bruce’s unwavering passion for surfing paved the way for a unique journey, allowing him to seamlessly blend work and surfing as he traversed the Pacific all the way to America.
So it was no surprise to Bruce’s family and friends, that his wish was to feel the salt water on his skin and enjoy time with loved ones on the shores of Noosa Heads Main Beach.
Thank you to our wonderful wish team Sue, Kiah, Lorraine and Vicki for fulfilling this last wish and Ange Costes Photography for creating memories forever for Bruce’s loved ones.
Thank you to our service partner Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Community Palliative Care Service and the support of Noosa Heads Surf Lifesaving Club and Noosa City Council on this special occasion.
