Brent’s wish was to go home and sit on his patio with his family
Queenslanders love our outdoor lifestyle, and why wouldn’t we? Blessed by a warm climate and spectacular nature, for many of us, our homes extend beyond four walls and into the outside world through our patios. And when we think about it, we can all recall wonderful times, family gatherings, peaceful, reflective moments and great celebrations that have taken place in our outdoor spaces.
So, for his Ambulance Wish, Brent wished to spend time with his family, relaxing on the patio and taking in the sights and sounds of his home and garden, relaxing in the company of those he loves.
Joined by his wife Ann-Maree, daughters Carly and Kristy, son-in-law Rob and six grandchildren Rudy, Evie, Ellie, Oscar, Kai and Tegan, Brent’s backyard became a wonderful maelstrom of activity, conversation, fun, love, and laughter as Brent took it all in, enjoying every moment of his special trip home. As he watched his grandchildren play, enjoying their games and youthful exuberance Brent couldn’t help but remark about how adorable the kids were as they did what they do best; living life to the full. When Rob fired up the BBQ for a family lunch, Brent’s smile grew further, “This is real food here,” he grinned before enjoying the feast created in true Aussie backyard style.
It was apparent that for Brent and his family, many memories have been made in their special place over the years and today added more memories that will stay with the family forever.
Thank you to our wonderful wish team Sophie, John, Angelique, Jacinta, and Annie from Adore Your Photography for fulfilling this last wish and creating memories forever.
Thank you to The Prince Charles Hospital for partnering with us on this special occasion to fulfil Brent’s Wish.
