Ambulance Wish Queensland fulfills 250 wishes for palliative patients through the power of volunteers.

Ambulance Wish Queensland, a program of Palliative Care Queensland, is dedicated to making memories matter for Queenslanders at end of life, like Trevor, our 250th Wish, who had it fulfilled by watching Andre Rieu in the comfort of a private cinema.

250 wishes marks a significant milestone for Ambulance Wish Queensland, highlighting the importance of having a strong volunteer base to create meaningful impact in the community by delivering compassionate, end-of-life experiences that would otherwise not be possible.

The program is supported by an incredible group of volunteer doctors, nurses and Queensland Ambulance Service Paramedics who make every Wish possible.

Looking to the future, Ambulance Wish Queensland is committed to ensuring that more Queenslanders have these moments of comfort and joy at the end of life. As demand for palliative care services grows with an aging population, milestones like the 250 wishes highlight both the community’s need and the program’s capacity to respond.
