Ambulance Wish Queensland chosen as Brisbane Broncos Charity Partner for 2025.
Ambulance Wish Queensland is excited to announce that the program has been chosen as a 2025 charity partner under the Brisbane Broncos Charity Partner Program, sponsored by loans.com.au
This partnership isn’t just about what happens on the field, or at the game, it’s about ensuring that Queenslanders nearing the end of their lives, have the support of the broader community, to make the memories that matter most with their loved ones.
Ambulance Wish Queensland is all about helping create unforgettable memories for Queenslanders at end of life, like Nancy, who got her Wish to meet her Brisbane Broncos heroes in 2023. The program is supported by an incredible group of volunteer doctors, nurses and Queensland Ambulance Service Paramedics who make every Wish possible.
On July 25th Ambulance Wish Queensland will be the dedicated charity partner at the Brisbane Broncos and Parramatta Eels Game! We will be at the game with at least 60 volunteers, promoting the 50/50 Raffle and bringing conversations on why quality palliative care and making memories are so important when facing the end of life. Keep an eye out for when you can get exclusive tickets in our 50/50 Raffle!
Palliative Care CEO, Louise O’Neill said that this partnership is about Queenslanders helping Queenslanders.
“Death is something that we all must face. But it’s not something we have to do alone. Ambulance Wish Queensland ensures that families have a moment to enjoy precious moments together and create memories forever. The work this program does in transporting very ill children and adults to the wish of their choice is incredibly important and we are honoured to have the Brisbane Broncos helping us to bring it to more Queenslanders in 2025.”
Broncos Head Coach Michael Maguire is keen to instill the voice of charity into the will of his players. “I’m a big believer that what we do off the field and away from footy, is just as important, if not more, than what we do on the paddock. There are people going through more in life than we could ever imagine, and that’s something that I have always instilled in my players – to think about something bigger than themselves.”
“I’m really looking forward to working with our Charity Partners and making them feel very much a part of everything we do.”
You can join the team and play a big part in Ambulance Wish Queensland – Volunteer with us, donate or sponsor us – as we help Queenslanders living with a life-limiting illness make memories that matter most.
