Amanda’s wish was to visit Australia Zoo with her children
For Amanda, a trip to the Zoo with her children was the perfect way to create memories forever that will last a lifetime and having never visited Australia Zoo before this day was more special than ever!
As Amanda, her children Moeisha, Indi-Ana, Emmy-Lies, Pippa and Marshall and Amanda’s sister Rebecca and husband with their children took in the sights, sounds and experiences of the crocodile hunter’s backyard, it was clear that this was an experience that meant so much to them all.
From Amanda’s favourite animals, the tigers who were basking serenely in the Queensland winter sunshine, to the antics of the elephants, giraffes, zebras and meerkats, Amanda and her children were delighted at their opportunity to get close to some of the world’s most beautiful creatures.
At the Crocoseum, Amanda was able to see first-hand the majestic animals that first made the park famous, with the MC welcoming the family over the loudspeaker and Australia Zoo presenting her with a special book signed by Bindi Irwin!
With memories forever captured and a wonderful wish fulfilled, we would like to thank the amazing team at Australia Zoo for going above and beyond to make Amanda’s day.
Thank you to Marie, Mark, Gavin and Jo in partnership with Wynnum Manly Palliative Care Unit, who helped fulfil Amanda’s Wish today. A special thank you to Australia Zoo, who went above and beyond and Adore You Photography for their support.
Ambulance Wish Queensland is proudly supported by the Queensland Government, and we thank the staff and volunteers at both Queensland Health and Queensland Ambulance Service who help our Palliative Care Queensland team to fulfil wishes and create memories
