Alice’s wish was to spend some time with her much-loved pets.
Anyone who has ever owned a pet knows just how much love they bring into our lives. From man’s best friend to our fantastic felines, we are conditioned to love every wag of a tail and every soothing purr. And our latest wish recipient Alice is no different. Her wish was to create memories forever with her pets Max the dog, Boots the cat and Cocko the Parrot.
Currently, in care at Ipswich Hospital Palliative Care Unit, the Ambulance Wish team were thrilled to be able to reunite Alice with her menagerie for an afternoon of cuddles, love and laughter. As her furry and feathered friends were reunited in the hospital courtyard, it was clear to see just how much the reunion meant to Alice, bringing an afternoon of joy to a beautiful animal lover.
Thank you to Colleen, Daire and Kylie-Anne, who fulfilled Alice’s Wish and Ipswich Hospital Palliative Care Unit.
Ambulance Wish Queensland is proudly supported by the Queensland Government, and we thank the staff and volunteers at both Queensland Health and Queensland Ambulance Service who help our Palliative Care Queensland team to fulfil wishes and create memories forever.
