Julie’s wish was to visit Sylvan Beach on Bribie Island with her family
An incredible way to spend a day close to home. Julie’s wish was to visit Sylvan Beach on Bribie Island.
With the playful banter from her family following her along, Julie was ecstatic to be taken through the place where she once walked regularly
It was clear how close this family is. In a beautiful moment, they gently assisted her down to the water’s edge before settling her into a chair so that she could sit comfortably and feel the waves wash over her legs.
A self-confessed champagne lover, Julie was treated to a glass of bubbles. She closed her eyes and savoured that first sip. An action that may not mean much to some but meant the world to Julie.
The joy the whole family shared and the laughter that echoed through their back-and-forth banter truly showed just how meaningful it was to spend this time together as a family.
Thank you to our wonderful wish team Sue, Kiah and Ranea for fulfilling this last wish and for creating memories forever for Julie’s loved ones.
Thank you to our service partner Metro North Hospital and Health Service – Caboolture Hospital Palliative Care Unit on this special occasion.
