Francis’s wish was to visit his wife in Aged Care.

It was a reunion more than 2 years in the making. Francis’s wish was to visit his wife in aged care.

Joined by his daughter and grandsons, Francis travelled to her aged care home for the much-anticipated visit. Married for 64 years, the couple had only been able to see each other through the occasional FaceTime call, but nothing could replace being together in the same room.

From the moment they saw each other, time seemed to stand still. She held Francis’s hand tightly and wouldn’t let it go for the entire visit.

Seeing that she was well looked after, brought Francis great comfort. It was a bittersweet but an incredibly joyous morning. Together again, just as they have been for decades.

Hand in hand, love endures, even through distance and time.

Thank you to our wonderful wish team Sophie and Bern for fulfilling this last wish and for creating memories forever for Francis’s loved ones.
