Getting close to nature for her grandkids. Liz’s wish was to visit Australia Zoo.

Always thinking about others, Liz wanted to spend her day with her grandchildren, doing something they wanted to do.

It was a VIP experience thanks to the incredible staff at Australia Zoo. Always interested on the topics of elephants, the keepers showcased a special demonstration of the elephants’ skills and behaviours.  Liz was in awe at how small the Asian Elephants were when compared to their African counterparts!

Joined by her husband and extended family, the group enjoyed encounters with giraffes, tigers, and the world-famous croc show. Most importantly though, it was a chance for Liz to see her grandchildren smile, be close and take the time to enjoy and share these moments together.

Thank you to our wonderful wish team Nat, Vicky and Jules for fulfilling this last wish and for creating memories forever for Liz’s loved ones.

Thank you to our service partner St Vincents Private Hospital Brisbane Palliative Care Unit and the support of Australia Zoo on this special occasion.
