Thi’s wish was to take her son to Kurrawa Beach
There’s nothing like spending time with the ones you love. Thi’s wish was to take her son, Daniel, to Kurrawa Beach.
Under the shade of the community benches and BBQ area by the beach, Thi was incredibly happy: taking in the sea breeze on a beautiful day. Her son ran down to the shoreline with his aunty, uncle and a couple of our volunteers. He jumped in the waves, splashed everyone and was laughing at the top of his lungs. Thi shared with our volunteers that he had never been to Broadbeach before, so it was nice for him to experience it.
Lunch was next for the wish and, whilst everyone dug in, Daniel let everyone know his extensive knowledge of Thomas the Tank Engine – what year the company started, the names of each train and even what each train can carry!
Watching Daniel light up as he played in the waves, explore the playground equipment and devouring his bacon and egg roll made Thi’s day. It gave her a great happiness to see her son smile.
Thank you to our wonderful wish team Georgia, Thomas, Dale and Michelle for fulfilling this last wish and for creating memories forever for their loved ones.
Thank you to our service partner Metro South Hospital and Health Service – Canossa Private Hospital on this special occasion.
