A homecoming for a seasoned theatregoer. Barbara’s Wish was to watch Jesus Christ Superstar with her husband, returning to the world of musical theatre that has brought her so much joy over the years.
Barbara’s passion for musicals has seen her enjoy a number of award-winning productions, from New York’s Broadway to London’s renowned West End. Jesus Christ Superstar is ranked highly amongst her favourite productions and the evening’s performance marked an encore, having attended the show several years earlier.
As the first chorus began, Barbra was caught up in the emotion and the music. Each scene reminded her why she fell in love with musical theatre: powerful vocals, amazing visuals and incredible performances.
Barbara was also treated to a private meet and greet with the stars of the show, including the actors portraying Judas, King Herod and Mary Magdalene who was played by Mahalia Barnes.
Barbara will now be singing the songs for days to come – a truly magical evening and homecoming to the stage.
