Taurian’s Wish was to meet the Brisbane Broncos

An intimate meet and greet with some of NRL’s biggest stars. Taurian’s Wish was to meet the Brisbane Broncos.

A softly spoken man with a deep love for the game, Taurian has been a Broncos supporter for as long as he can remember. Watching the Broncos train, Taurian soaked in every moment as they prepared for the weekend’s clash against the Rabbitohs.

After the session, he was greeted by several Broncos players and coaches. They had long conversations, sharing stories and posing for photos. Patty Carrigan and Taurian had a great talk,  The highlight came when he was presented with a signed jersey, a new favourite item that will be treasured forever.

The Broncos have always been incredibly welcoming to every Wish Recipient who has wanted to see them train or just simply meet the team. Every time, they will go above and beyond to support us, and we can’t thank them enough for helping us fulfil Taurian’s Wish.

Thank you to our wonderful wish team Julie, Sandy and Shannon for fulfilling this last wish and Ange Costes Photography for creating memories forever for Taurian’s loved ones.

Thank you to our specialist palliative care service partner Metro South Community Palliative Care in collaboration with The Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Commission (ATSIC) and Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH).

Thank you for the incredible support of the Brisbane Broncos on this special occasion.

Ambulance Wish Queensland is the signature program of Palliative Care Queensland and is proudly supported by the Queensland Government, and we thank the staff and volunteers at both Queensland Health and Queensland Ambulance Service who help our team to fulfil wishes and create memories.
