A bird lover from a young age, Elaine’s Wish was to visit the Maleny Botanic Gardens and Bird World with her family 🧡
As a young girl, Elaine had several pet birds – canaries, pigeons and quails – and had quite a keen interest to learn more about these avian animals, a hobby she kept well into her adult life.
At Bird World, the staff went above and beyond for Elaine. A private and personalised tour was organised, and they spent significant time in the bird aviary with Elaine. The manager even picking her a gorgeous rose straight from the garden.
The birds loved Elaine! Many birds flew in to sit on her and play with her blanket and hat, keeping her smiling throughout the day. But the biggest smile came when her grandson purchased a cuddly teddy bird for Elaine – a memento to remember the day.
A magical day for a very special grandma.
