Denise’s wish was to see her Granddaughter on her wedding day.
The first Wish for Mater Private Hospital Townsville, and the 7th wish for the Townsville Ambulance Wish Hub, was an incredibly special one.
Denise’s wish was to see her granddaughter, Tahlia, get married. Although she was unable to attend the ceremony in person, Mater Private Hospital Townsville and Ambulance Wish were able take Denise down to the Chapel within the hospital where Tahlia arrived with her family for a very special meeting and precious photos to be taken before the ceremony.
Tahlia arrived looking radiant and, joined by her bridesmaids and extended family, walked immediately toward her grandmother who was waiting in anticipation. As the memories were captured every step of the way, tears of joy flowed and big smiles could not be wiped off their faces.
From the emotion in the room and the love that could be felt, you could see that Denise was an especially important part of the family and that she had a profound influence on Tahlia’s life growing up.
The family spent many wonderful moments together and Denise was overjoyed to see Tahlia as a bride, grateful to spend this moment together surrounded by family.
