Deborah’s wish was to visit Wildlife HQ Zoo with her friends
Palliative Care Queensland is excited to announce that Katie Rose Cottage Hospice have joined Ambulance Wish Queensland as a Palliative Care Service Partner, a partnership commemorated by making Deborah’s wish a reality. A visit to Wildlife HQ with her friends.
Deborah loves all animals, so what better place to see the variety than at Wildlife HQ! The visit offered her the chance to have face-to-face encounters with a variety of creatures including Alligators, Spider Monkeys, Koalas, Meerkats, and an Emu with a larger-than-life personality. However, it was an elderly cockatoo that stole her heart. To make the experience even more enriching, Deborah’s tour guide, Charly, shared a wealth of intriguing facts about animals, much to Deborah’s delight.
As lunch came and went quickly (made more enjoyable with an ice-cream at the in-house café!) Deborah couldn’t wait to get back out and explore all that Wildlife HQ had to offer.
Thank you to our wonderful wish team Kristy, Chloe and Sarah for fulfilling this last wish and Lachlan for creating memories forever for her loved ones.
Thank you to our service partner Katie Rose Cottage Hospice and the support of Wildlife HQ Zoo on this special occasion.
