Family Values Inspire Business Support for Ambulance Wish Queensland
Ambulance Wish Queensland is delighted to welcome GQS as our South East Queensland Hub Local Supporting Partner with the Brisbane and Sunshine Coast based quantity surveyors throwing their support behind creating memories forever for more Queenslanders and their loved ones.
“We wanted to support a cause that was in line with our values and supports the communities that we work in and call home,” said Zac Gleeson, “And Ambulance Wish Queensland is a cause that is close to our hearts because we can see the power that the program has and the impacts it makes on people’s lives through fulfilling a last wish.”
Initially inspired by Zac’s wife’s experience as an intensive care nurse at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, Ambulance Wish Queensland also resonates with the entire GQS team, “My wife experienced first-hand the benefits positive palliative care has on patients, their families, loved ones and the entire community. We are also at a stage in life where each of us is experiencing our parents, grandparents, friends and colleagues approaching their end of life, and we are more aware than ever of the importance of creating opportunities for people to connect with the people, places and activities that matter.”
“What we love most about Ambulance Wish Queensland is that wishes are simple. It isn’t about meeting a famous celebrity or skydiving for the first time, it is about visiting home for a final time, spending time with much-loved pets or spending a day at the zoo with the people that matter in your life. When you think about it, throughout our lives it is the simple things that matter the most and create the memories that last forever.”
