An unforgettable evening filled with generosity, special surprises and memories that will last a lifetime. Hudson’s wish was to go to the Broncos game at Suncorp Stadium with family and meet some Broncos players.
Huddy is well loved within his community and is something of a local celebrity. His family have shared his journey with D2HGA, bringing their community along for the special moments.
A big Broncos fan, Huddy was joined at Suncorp Stadium by his mum, brother, care support worker and friends. He was also never far from his Ambulance Wish Teddy, who received plenty of cuddles and kisses throughout the evening.
While the game was close and the Broncos unfortunately didn’t come away with the win, Huddy and his family were still invited down to the rooms following the final siren.
Huddy, his brother and mum had the opportunity to meet some Broncos legends, with the players going above and beyond to make the family feel special. There were plenty of photo opportunities, signed memorabilia and some very generous gifts, including a Bronco’s jerseys for Huddy and his family and a pair of footy boots for his brother.
Bronco’s coach, Michael Maguire, also took the time to chat with Claire, Huddy’s mum, who showed him a photo of the pair together from 2016. A special connection to an already unforgettable evening.
It’s wishes like Huddy’s that remind us of the kindness and generosity in our community, and the extraordinary impact of coming together to create lasting memories for a family when they matter most.
